Mountain View Teachers Association consists of 320+ members who care about the 4,600+ students in the El Monte and South El Monte community.  We work for the resources and opportunities for our students to succeed because students are the center of everything we do.

Our Mission

Is to attract and retain qualified teachers for our students by negotiating professional wages and family benefits, to provide due process for teachers, and provide grants and training so teachers can succeed in the classroom.  We advocate for better teaching and learning conditions, safe schools, and our students' academic success.  We do this by partnering with parents, businesses, and civic organizations.  We work assertively and collaboratively with our school district for what is better for our students.
